In 2000, I got a specific call from God to journey with a group of associates whom our sisters from the Buffalo Franciscans left behind once they moved away from the island. After prayerful reflection, I accepted the offer which I found both enriching and energizing.

It was not until six months later that I questioned myself: If I am doing this for the Buffalo Franciscans, why not strengthen our own particular ministry of lay companions?
So, as time went on, our joint efforts were put together and now we are ready to share the good news!
As of now we have twenty-four in the group—eight associates and sixteen companions. We meet on the fourth Saturday of each month and we love being together in our group: “Conociendo Caminando con Francisco y Clara.”
