Franciscans Sisters Honored for Good News Publication and Congregational
DVD
Aston, PA — The Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia were honored in the 2007 Hermes
Creative Awards (Gold Level) for both their Good News publication and their recently produced congregational DVD. Hermes Creative Awards, an
international competition for creative professionals involved in the
concept, writing, and design of traditional and emerging media,
recognizes outstanding work in the industry while promoting the
philanthropic nature of marketing and communication professionals.
Entries came from corporate marketing and communication departments,
advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies, and
freelancers. Winner were selected from 136 categories in seven forms of media and communication efforts.
The
Hermes Award marks the latest in a series of award recognitions for the
Good News publication. Published three times a year beginning in 1998,
the magazine also received
the EPIC Award from the Philadelphia chapter
of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) six
consecutive years. It also received an ACE Award from IABC’s
New York
chapter as well as an Award of Excellence from The Communicator.
The
thirty-minute DVD was produced in the fall of 2006 and provides
information on the congregation’s history, its development program
(Franciscan Ministries Foundation), its
associate program (Franciscan
Companions in Mission), and vocations.
